A Little About Me

 

Since founding Hostopia in 1999 and serving as President and Director until January 2006, Franc  became a recognized authority in the hosting industry having addressed keynote audiences at ISPCon, SOHO.ca, SuperComm, and Comptel. Franc has been consulted as an industry resource by such magazines as TheWhir.com, TopHosts.com, Computer Reseller News, The Hosting Standard, The Toronto Star, and many others. Franc's passion for delivering solutions to service providers worldwide and his stellar sales ability helped propel Hostopia to the world's leading position in private labeled hosting. He captained the company as it won 'Best Private Label Host' from Web Hosting Magazine, and he was instrumental in building a successful hosting business with over 300 service providers. Most recently, Hostopia placed 1st on the Profit 100 Fastest Growing Companies for 2005 and is an Inc500 company. Hostopia's continuing triple-digit growth is inspired by Franc's leadership and vision. Franc has held positions on FISPA's Board of Directors and was a member of Comptel's CEO Council.

As Hostopia's Chief Revenue Officer and Head Rainmaker, Franc was responsible for all revenue generation activities and was instrumental in negotiating and closing all of the largest deals in Hostopia's history. These included many $5 million plus multi-year contracts with some of the world's largest telcos including Verizon Directories Corp, Bell Canada, Covad Communications Company, Rogers Cable Communications Inc. Register.com, TELUS Communications Company, Colt Telecom, and many, many others. In addition, he was responsible for Press Relations and Investor Relations functions to support revenue growth and expansion. One of Franc's key accomplishments included helping the company to raise over $8 million in Venture Capital.
